REPS SUMMON DEFENCE MINISTER, SERVICE CHIEFS OVER SECURITY FUNDING
The House of Representatives has passed a resolution to summon top security officials over the management and utilization of funds released to security agencies in the past six months.
Those expected to appear before the House include the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, service chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, and the Director-General of the State Security Service (DSS), Adeola Ajayi.
Lawmakers say the move is aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and proper oversight of security expenditures amid ongoing concerns about insecurity across the country.
The officials are expected to provide detailed breakdowns of how security allocations have been utilized within the reviewed period.
