NDC WARNS OBIDIENT, KWANKWASIYYA MOVEMENTS: “PARTY WILL NOT BE PERSONALITY-DRIVEN
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a strong internal directive cautioning members affiliated with the Obidient and Kwankwasiyya movements, stressing that the party will not function as a personality-driven political platform.
According to the party leadership, the NDC is committed to building a unified political structure based on ideology, internal democracy, and institutional strength rather than loyalty to individual political figures or blocs.
The party warned that while it welcomes members from diverse political backgrounds, it will not tolerate structures that undermine collective decision-making or promote factional dominance within its ranks.
Leadership of the NDC emphasized that all members are expected to operate within the party’s constitution and uphold its core values ahead of upcoming elections.
The directive is seen as part of broader efforts to manage internal tensions and reinforce party cohesion amid growing political realignments in the country.
Party officials reaffirmed that disciplinary measures may be taken against any group or individual found to be violating the party’s rules or promoting division.
