JUST IN: INEC Releases Final List of Candidates for June 20 Bye-Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates for the upcoming June 20, 2026 bye-elections across various constituencies in Nigeria.

According to the Commission’s final compilation, several political parties have successfully cleared their nominated candidates for the elections, including former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, and other contenders across senatorial, federal, and state assembly seats.

The bye-elections will be conducted in constituencies where vacancies occurred due to resignations, deaths, or appointments of former office holders.

INEC confirmed that the publication of the final list marks the completion of all nomination processes and signals the final phase of preparations ahead of the polls.

Political parties and candidates are now expected to intensify campaigns in line with INEC’s electoral timetable and regulations.

The Commission also reiterated its commitment to conducting free, fair, and credible elections across all affected states. If you want, I can also make a or a more aggressive breaking-news version for social media (Facebook/WhatsApp style).headline flyer design text
