🗳️ INEC UPDATES PDP EXECUTIVE LIST, MAKES NEW CHANGES ON PORTAL



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly removed the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro from its portal as the National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), respectively.

They have now been replaced with Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry as the newly listed officials.

According to party sources, Ahmed and Daniel are aligned with the Makinde-backed Turaki faction, while the newly listed officials are associated with the faction linked to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, which is currently recognised in the party structure.

This development follows earlier adjustments where INEC had already reflected Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, a move that sparked internal disagreements within the party.

With the latest update, the PDP leadership structure displayed on the INEC portal now appears to align fully with the Wike-backed faction, further deepening tensions within the party.

Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso , has reportedly threatened to leave the Nigeria Democratic Congress following a fresh dispute over party tickets in Kano State. The crisis started after the NDC replaced several candidates earlier submitted by the Kwankwasiyya faction in Kano. According to reports, the changes were made to enforce a pre-agreed 60/40 power-sharing formula between the Kwankwasiyya bloc and the original NDC structure.
