Crisis Brews In APC As FCT Members Reject Imposition Of Non-Party Member, Say No Primary Held In AMAC/Bwari

CRISIS BREWS IN APC OVER ALLEGED CANDIDATE IMPOSITION IN FCT

A political crisis is reportedly emerging within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as party members in AMAC and Bwari Area Councils have rejected what they describe as the imposition of a non-party member as a candidate.

According to aggrieved party stakeholders, no primary election was conducted in the affected areas, raising concerns over the legitimacy of the selection process and the internal democratic procedures of the party.

Some members argue that the alleged imposition undermines party constitution, weakens grassroots participation, and could trigger discontent among loyal party supporters ahead of future elections.

The dissatisfied members are calling for urgent intervention by the APC national leadership to ensure transparency, fairness, and adherence to internal electoral guidelines, insisting that credible primaries must be conducted to resolve the dispute.

As tensions rise, party observers warn that failure to address the grievances could deepen divisions within the party structure in the FCT.

The APC leadership is yet to issue an official response to the allegations.
