The safety of citizens, especially schoolchildren and vulnerable communities, must remain a top priority. Government at all levels must intensify efforts to combat terrorism, secure educational institutions, and ensure that criminal elements do not dictate the future of the nation.


Nigeria's security and sovereignty must never be negotiated with terrorists.

Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso , has reportedly threatened to leave the Nigeria Democratic Congress following a fresh dispute over party tickets in Kano State. The crisis started after the NDC replaced several candidates earlier submitted by the Kwankwasiyya faction in Kano. According to reports, the changes were made to enforce a pre-agreed 60/40 power-sharing formula between the Kwankwasiyya bloc and the original NDC structure.
