 BREAKING NEWS: Vice Principal and Two Others Killed as Security Forces Foil Attempted Abduction of WAEC Candidates in Kogi State



Tragedy struck in Iluke Bunu, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, as armed assailants reportedly attacked a school community during an attempted mass abduction of WAEC candidates.


According to reports, a Vice Principal and two other individuals lost their lives during the incident, which caused panic in the area. Security operatives were said to have swiftly intervened, preventing the attackers from successfully abducting the students writing their WAEC examinations.


The prompt response of security forces is believed to have saved many of the candidates from being taken away, though the attack left the community in shock and mourning.


Authorities are yet to release full details as investigations continue into the incident, while residents have called for increased security presence in schools and surrounding communities to prevent further attacks.


The situation has heightened concerns over the safety of students sitting for public examinations in parts of the region.
